Home South abutment, 36″ scour with exposed piles GUY’s OKC metro location is now conveniently located at 1741 W 33rd St, Suite 110 in Edmond, OK On August 3, 2015, LeFlore County District #2 dedicated the newly constructed Bridge #171 over Brazil Creek. The original historic truss bridge stayed in place and can viewed from the new 403 feet long precast concrete beam bridge. The American Public Works Association (APWA) Oklahoma Chapter recently presented the 2015 Disaster/Emergency Award for the City of Tulsa Crow Creek Drainage Project to designer, GUY Engineering (GUY). In addition, the Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers presented GUY with the Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award for 2015 for this project. On July 1, 2015, LeFlore County dedicated the newly constructed Bridge #71 over Caston Creek to Msgt. Burrus (Poose) F. Martin. Around 50 people were in attendance for the dedication. John Blickensderfer, President of GUY Engineering Services, Inc., was named the Oklahoma Rural Engineer of the Year at the April 1, 2015, meeting of the Oklahoma Association of County Engineers. GUY Engineering celebrated Engineers Week by making a difference in our community with local Boy Scout Troop #159. Three of GUY’s Engineers, Pete Ellis, Patrick Shoopman (Eagle Scout), and Brad Folks (Eagle Scout), along with the boys, gathered at the engineering firm for an educational night. The scout troop received an Engineering Merit Badge by designing and demonstrating catapults out of mouse traps. On December 22, 2014 a Ribbon Cutting was held for Bridge #24 over Opossum Creek in Nowata County. A Ribbon Cutting was held on October 15, 2014 for the recently completed Trib to Horse Bridge. A Ribbon Cutting was held on August 25, 2014 for the recently completed Island Bayou Bridge Br 15 Rock Ceek Ribbon Cutting held July 8, 2014 in Mayes County.
