A ribbon cutting was held on July 28 at 9:30 a.m. to celebrate the re-opening of N 193rd East Ave. This roadway is northwest of the Port of Catoosa, near the growing Stone Canyon residential area. According to Rogers County District 2 Commissioner Steve Hendrix, the $4.4 million project widened N 193rd East Ave from Port Rd to the north 0.5 miles.

The widening project also cut into a steep hill and included a new alignment that will better facilitate the flow of north- and south-bound traffic.

The project was designed by Guy Engineering Services and constructed by Sherwood Construction, both of Tulsa, OK. Funding for the project was provided by Federal Surface Transportation Program and the County Improvements for Roads and Bridges fund.
