Guy Engineering has recently welcomed three new team members!
Director of Local Government Relations
Former Ottawa County Commissioner Russell Earls has joined GUY and will be focusing on supporting local government clients. Russell has a long history in serving Oklahoma communities through local government. He and his wife Sandra live in Ottawa County, where they run Black Angus cattle. Russel’s favorite activity is spending time with his six-year-old grandson, playing football, ziplining, or just hanging out.
Director of Federal Programs
After 23 years as an Army Engineer, Dan Young has joined GUY as Director of Federal Programs. He is a native of Edmond but has traveled extensively in the Middle East and lived with his family in Germany, Italy, and Egypt. Dan received his BS in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and then later received an MS in Engineering Management from the Missouri Institute of Science and Technology and an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from the American University in Cairo.
Dan and his wife Lori have been married almost 25 years, and they have four children ranging from 2nd grade to 12th grade. In his free time, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, renovating his home, woodworking, and spending time outdoors.
Thawng is originally from Myanmar and grew up in Jenks, OK. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in Fall 2022 with his BS in Civil Engineering. He is working from GUY’s OKC office and is enjoying being part of a team focused on providing safe solutions for communities’ systems and facilities. Outside of work, Thawng enjoys traveling (although he has only been to three US states), visiting museums and amusement parks, and trying out unique culinary experiences.
