White Oak Rd
GUY’s design reconstructed White Oak Rd (NS-4340) in Craig County to a functional classification 4 roadway (major rural collector).
The reconstruction widened the existing roadway and improved horizontal and vertical alignments, thereby enhancing safety and supporting future development.
The project is approximately 4.3 miles long, extending from the intersection of E300 Road to US-60. Three alternative alignments were evaluated to improve the horizontal alignment of NS-4340. Significant adjustments to vertical alignments will be made at several locations.
As part of this project, GUY conducted ABB surveys and subsequent habitat delineations and coordinated mitigation through the USFWS via the Cherokee Nation. The purpose was to obtain clearance for this project before utility relocation efforts.
